Master’s Message – October 2013

Greetings, Brethren,

Wednesday, October 2nd is our Annual stated meeting followed by the semi public installation of officers on Saturday, October 5th at 4:00 pm. Come out and support Brother SW Brian Cayer and his line of officers for the ensuing year.

Our bylaw change that was voted on and passed at our last meeting was approved by the Jurisprudence committee of the Grand
Lodge. The Audit Committee at our meeting will recommend and place for vote an increase in candidate fees. This will bring us more in line with the actual costs associated with the conferring of degrees.

It is hard to believe that my term as Worshipful Master of Lafayette Lodge is coming to a close. I would like to thank all the Brothers for their support and encouragement during my journey to the East and as your Master. It has been an exciting and rewarding experience and one I will fondly remember. Don’t forget, tickets are on sale for “THE BIG RAFFLE” to be drawn in December. Ask any one of the officers for details

Senior Warden Message – October 2013

Brethren,

Reminder that we are going to have a semi-public installation of Officers @4pm on October 5th. There will be a catered dinner following ($20pp /$10 for children), please make a reservation or you will not be able to dine with us. Also, the dinner will be BYOB. I want to thank Ron Wheeler for deciding to move into the Senior Warden’s role for the year. Ron was the Master who presided over my raising to Master Mason and it will be rewarding for me to have him in the Senior Warden’s chair. For all the appointed officers, I want to thank you in advance for your support. I know everyone will complete their assignments in true Masonic fashion, but my primary goal is to make sure we are having fun doing it. I think it’s that outward excitement that will inspire others to join and to continue to flourish our Fraternity. For all other Brothers, I want to remind you that Lafayette is your Lodge even if you are not an officer. We have a lot of positive activity happening and there is a place for all to participate in any capacity your cable tow will allow.
