Master’s Message – April 2011

Posted by Brian Cayer on March 27, 2011

Greetings Brethren,

The month of March was truly busy! Our stated meeting was well at-tended and with good reason. W. Rick Gagne and his group the Garlic Connection served an excellent meal; we were entertained with some beautiful music, and welcomed 21 Brothers from Ezekiel Bates in true Lafayette fashion. What an enjoyable evening, thanks to all who partici-pated.

On Monday the 7th of March our 2 newest Brothers were raised to the Degree of Master Mason. This was truly a team effort, as many Brothers from surrounding Lodges participated in the work of the evening. Thank you my Brothers for the fine work, and congratulations to our newest Master Masons Brothers Jayson Dotsenrod and John Frampton.

Lafayette returned the visit to Ezekiel Bates on the evening of the 16 th, Eleven Brothers were welcomed with Brotherly love and affection, and I look forward to future visits and hope to build upon this relationship between Lafayette and our Massachusetts Brothers.

Our April meeting is the Official Visitation of R. W. Stephen T. McGuire DDGM for the Northern District. The program for the evening will be a talk on beekeeping presented by Brother Kevin Toro of Manchester Lodge. Dinner will be prepared by the Brothers of Mt. Moriah Lodge this is the last of the District charity dinners and W. Joe informed me they will be making Veal Parmesan with all the trimmings. Brethren, please come out and support our charity event, together with the other lodges of the North we can make a difference by supporting the House of Compassion and Franklin Farm.

April 23rd will be our John Wayne themed Table Lodge. W. Ron Wheeler is working hard on the program which is sure to be entertain-ing and informative. W. Ron has made contact with the Dukes lodge in Arizona and I am told he has a few Masonic stories. Dinner will be a BBQ theme and the dress is Western Wear. Tickets are $25 and are available through W. Ron and myself.

Brethren, I truly feel fortunate to belong to such a great organization. The friendship and Brotherly love we speak of so fondly, I find every-where that I travel. Many Brothers have told me how much fun they have visiting other lodges, and making new acquaintances. I highly rec-ommend getting out visiting other lodges, Brothers love to share their stories, you can really learn a lot.

We meet at the Temple on the 1st ,3rd, and 4th Mondays of the month, for rehearsal. come out and see the officers at work or just join in the fellowship .

Fraternally,
Bob Drisko, Master
