Master’s Message – February 2011

Posted by Brian Cayer on January 31, 2011

Greetings Brethren,

As I finish moving snow from my driveway, again, I prepare to do it again and again. Spring seems so far away. Our monthly meeting however will be here before we know it.

The program for our February meeting on the 2nd will be about ancestry. Our guest will be Karen Dennen a local author who has written a book on researching old photographs to discover clues about your ancestry.

Our dinner will be prepared by our Brothers from Mount Moriah #8 as part of our charity dinner program. They will prepare veal parmesan with all the trimmings. The cost is $15; all monies collected will go to the northern District Charity. Reservations are a must.

Lafayette cooked at Friendship’s January meeting for our part in the District Charity. I enjoyed the fellowship and working with my Brothers. Thanks to all who helped.

There are still squares left in our football pool for Super Bowl Sunday. The numbers will be drawn at our February meeting. The charity for this event is the Tracey Soares Pytka Children’s Fund. Squares are $20 each.

The District Deputy Grand Master will make his visitation to Mt. Moriah #8 on the 18th of February; and on the 26th Lafayette will be hosting a Brother to Brother meeting at noon, lunch will be served with a meeting and discussion afterwards. The purpose is to brainstorm ideas to keep Brethren interested in the
Craft and keep them active. Please make every effort to attend these events.

The Officers are working hard rehearsing for the Master Mason degree. On March 7th we will raise our two Fellow Craft. Come out and see your Officers in action and greet the newest Master Masons. There is rehearsal on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Monday at 7pm come join us to help or just for the fellowship.

Keep Warm my Brothers.
Fraternally,
Bob Drisko
Master
