Master’s Message – December 2012

Posted by Brian Cayer on November 28, 2012

Greetings Brethren:

The officers and members have been busy these past months conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree on 7 candidates on two separate evenings as well as lectures.
They have worked diligently and it certainly showed in their performance. I congratulate them on a job well done and they are looking forward to working with our new candidates.

For our program for the December meeting, we will be entertained by the Cumberland High School Clef Singers. They will be performing some of your favorite holiday classics upstairs in the lodge room at 7:30 pm. The Lodge will open at 6:15 pm followed by dinner at 6:30pm. Please make a note on the 6:15 pm opening.

Our annual St. Johns’ night will be held on Saturday December 8th, beginning at 6pm. This year we will be serving a pot roast dinner and the program will be facilitated by Brother Mel Borham. We are requesting donations of your favorite Christmas cookies for dessert. The Ladies of Lafayette will also be running a penny social to benefit the Lodge. Hope to see you all there with your family and friends.

I would like to thank everyone that has donated their time, contributions to lodge functions, and advice. We served 43 meals at last month’s meeting during a snowstorm! It takes everyone to make this Lodge a success and by your attendance and support we are growing stronger. We gather every Monday (except the second Monday of the month) at 7:00 pm for rehearsal, and everyone is welcome, whether it’s to help or just for the fellowship. Hope to see you there soon…

Fraternally,
W. Brother Mark Eddleston, Master

Master’s Message – November 2012

Posted by Brian Cayer on November 5, 2012

Greetings Brethren:

Fall is upon us and our Masonic year is just beginning. The officers have been preparing these past few months to confer the Entered Apprentice Degree on 3 candidates at a Special Meeting on Thursday, November 15th at 7:00 pm. Lectures for this degree will be given on Monday November 19th at 7:00 pm. The officers have worked diligently and would appreciate your support. Presently we have 8 candidates in our Masonic pipeline.

The program for November’s meeting will be presented by a duo of re-enactors portraying life as Pilgrims. Dinner will be, what else, a full Thanksgiving meal. Our new candidates will be joining us for a meet and greet. Please show you support and introduce yourselves to our prospective new members.

Just a reminder, Worshipful Stan Sorrentino, once again has extended an invitation to attend the Patriots away game at Gillette stadium. The Patriots will be playing the Dolphins on Sunday, December 2nd at 1:00pm (time could change). The Clubhouse will be open with food and drink available for purchase. Parking and admission is free for you and family. We will be able to watch the game on the giant stadium screen or inside at the Putman Club. Cheer leaders will be there to sign their pictures for you. Come and enjoy this day of fellowship and football. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board downstairs.

The lodge extends its condolences to R.W. Neil Poirier, PDDGM on the recent loss of his wife.

We gather every Monday (except the second Monday of the month) at 7:00 pm for rehearsal, and everyone is welcome, whether it’s to help or just for the fellowship. Hope to see you there soon.

Fraternally,
Brother Mark Eddleston WM
