Master’s Message – April 2015

Posted by Brian Cayer on March 14, 2015

It’s been a busy month at Lafayette. Breakfasts, Wine tastings, Table Lodge, I want to express my thanks and appreciation to everyone who made those successful events possible; thank you for all you do my Brothers.

April is the DDGM visitation. My friends Dale Munschy and Sylvia Berry, will entertain and enlighten us with their knowledge and talents. They are well known and respected as experts in the world of Historic Keyboard Instruments. It has been several years since they have visited Lafayette, and I look forward to an exciting evening. I hope many of you can be there to welcome the District Deputy and enjoy the program.

On the sixth of April Lafayette will perform the First degree on all available candidates. The officers have been hard at work. We are learning the opening and closing in the EA degree, this will allow the candidates to observe a closing the evening of their initiation, something most of us did not have the opportunity to experience.

It is my hope that we can collect school supplies for the Family Literacy Center. The good work they do in Manville is commendable and reaches out to many who might not have access to educational supplies. We can continue to support this worthwhile cause, by donating supplies. I hope to collect them at our monthly Breakfasts. I delivered a box of supplies donated by one of our Brothers, and you would have thought they had been given a chest of gold. They were very appreciative and thankful for any help that comes their way, we will continue to aid them with further donations. Thank you all for your help. The officers meet every Monday at 7pm at Lafayette, the second being the exception; to rehearse, work with the candidates and meet in fellowship with each other. Won’t you join us?

Bob Drisko
