March 2009 Junior Warden’s Message

Posted by Brian Cayer on February 23, 2009

From the South

As we get closer to our 50th anniversary ; we want to make sure that any past masters who have not worn the Lafayette apron are afforded the opportunity to do so. Contact the Master , Wardens or Secretary and we can make arrangements for this to happen in Lodge.
To my traveling Brothers; I enjoy our journeys and have learned a lot . I hope the number grows and we continue our visits around the jurisdiction.
I would also extend my congratulations to our six new FC on there passing and make myself available to help in their class work.

March 2009 Master’s Message

Posted by Brian Cayer on February 23, 2009

From The East

Greetings Brethren,
The Grand Master’s visitation to Lafayette Lodge has come and gone. What a wonderful evening it was. And, doesn’t it feel good to have a full lodge room? Most Worshipful Richard Sokoll and Right Worshipful Wyman Halstrom III have both expressed to me that it was a wonderful night so I thank you my broth-ers. I would like to thank Claire Bundeff for bak-ing the cake for the evening and providing the brownies. For those of you who missed the cake, because it disappeared fast, there was a Square and Compass made of frosting on the top.

We will be opening Lodge at 6:30 pm and after some quick business we will recess for dinner and then the program. The ladies and other guests are invited for dinner and the program. The dinner is being planned and organized by the Warden’s. They are planning a corn beef and cabbage din-ner, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. I am being told there will be Guinness on each table. This could be fun. The program for the evening will be a presentation on the George Washington Memorial in Alexandria Virginia and will be given by Most Worshipful Brad Barco.

It’s that time of year again to start thinking about our May breakfast. The tentative date will be May 9th. What are your ideas to make this event a success? We have two months to plan so let’s think about how and where we can advertise.
I know it may seem like a long way off but the Philadelphia trip will be here before you know it. As of now, there are only nine people signed up to go. If we don’t get more to sign up it may be canceled. If you are out traveling and you find yourself standing up introducing yourself, go ahead and mention it. Everyone is invited, friends and family, not just Masons.

Worshipful Master,
Ron Wheeler
