Master’s Message – February 2015

Posted by Brian Cayer on February 2, 2015

Brethren,

Time moves so quickly, it seems our January meeting was just here, and our monthly communication is here again! It really is wonderful to see all the Brethren in lodge, at our last monthly we had more than a third of our members present, quite a testament to the friendship and brotherly love felt at Lafayette.

As some of you know Brother Andy Gregoire has affiliated with Hope #25 in Wakefield. On January 14, Eight members travelled “all the way” to South County from the Northeast corner of the State, it was an interesting trip, the District Deputy and Grand Master were both in attendance to present
a fifty year service medal. Two of Lafayette’s newest members made the trip, and are excited to travel more often. I truly enjoy traveling with you
my Brothers and hope that more of you will join in the fun!

I would like to thank the Brothers who came to worship at Chapel Street Congregational Church on the 18th of January. There were 13 Brothers in
attendance and 4 lodges represented. There is a table lodge scheduled for March 7 at Lafayette. Last year we shared traditional songs and readings and my research turned up more than enough pieces for one feast. We plan to use some more of the information gathered, and hope many of you will join us for the Ceremony of the Seven Toasts and hearty meal in seven courses.

The officers are working on the First Degree. We have the potential of two candidates and with any luck and clear ballots will perform the degree in
late March. We are planning to open and close in EA, as well as the work. We meet at lodge every Monday, the second being the exception, to rehearse,
work with candidates and gather for fellowship. You should stop by soon and join in the fun!

Fraternally,
Bob Drisko
