Senior Warden Message – September 2015

Posted by Brian Cayer on September 1, 2015

Our Annual Meeting and election of Officers is 6 weeks away with every expectation that our current suite of Officers will advance a chair. As your Senior Warden I will, if elected, become your Worshipful Master. It hard to describe the honor of holding the position that so many good men have held before me. I assure you that I intend to work my hardest to maintain the high standards we hold at Lafayette Lodge.

To all our members who have become inactive I hope you will be able to make at least one meeting this year. I guarantee you will feel comfortable
as soon as you walk into the building and, as importantly, we would love to hear about your experiences from years past.

To all our more active Brothers I look forward to strengthening the Lodge and the relationships we have developed through your participation
and good counsel in the various Lodge events and activities that will occur during the upcoming year.

To all brothers receiving this communication I wholeheartedly invite you to our Semi-Public Installation Officers on Sunday October 11,
2014. Luncheon will be served at 1 PM with the Installation to follow. It would be great if you could join me and the new suite of officers as we start our new year!

Thank You,
SW Ted Hague

Senior Warden Message – October 2013

Posted by Brian Cayer on September 24, 2013

Reminder that we are going to have a semi-public installation of Officers @4pm on October 5th. There will be a catered dinner following ($20pp /$10 for children), please make a reservation or you will not be able to dine with us. Also, the dinner will be BYOB. I want to thank Ron Wheeler for deciding to move into the Senior Warden’s role for the year. Ron was the Master who presided over my raising to Master Mason and it will be rewarding for me to have him in the Senior Warden’s chair. For all the appointed officers, I want to thank you in advance for your support. I know everyone will complete their assignments in true Masonic fashion, but my primary goal is to make sure we are having fun doing it. I think it’s that outward excitement that will inspire others to join and to continue to flourish our Fraternity. For all other Brothers, I want to remind you that Lafayette is your Lodge even if you are not an officer. We have a lot of positive activity happening and there is a place for all to participate in any capacity your cable tow will allow.

From the West – October 2011

Posted by Brian Cayer on October 1, 2011

Once again fall is here and for Lafayette Lodge that means so is our Annual Communication. And for me it is special because I have been following my good friend and brother W. Bob Drisko as I did when I took the oath of an EA. W Bob has done a fantastic job as Master and I know he is leaving the Master chair as other past masters have, in a better place, and I hope the same will be said of me next year.

One thing I will let you know, I have planned a busy year with a number of different activities, some things will be a continuation of what has worked and I few new wrinkles coming up as well.

October 1, is Semi Public dinner at 6:00pm, Installation at 7:00 pm
October 2, Masonic Church Service 10 am at Chapel Street Congregational Church 185 Chapel St Lincoln RI
October 15, Open House
October 22, Breakfast for Franklin Farms
Blood Drive for the RI Blood Bank
And a Flea Market/Yard Sale

March 2009 Junior Warden’s Message

Posted by Brian Cayer on February 23, 2009

From the South

As we get closer to our 50th anniversary ; we want to make sure that any past masters who have not worn the Lafayette apron are afforded the opportunity to do so. Contact the Master , Wardens or Secretary and we can make arrangements for this to happen in Lodge.
To my traveling Brothers; I enjoy our journeys and have learned a lot . I hope the number grows and we continue our visits around the jurisdiction.
I would also extend my congratulations to our six new FC on there passing and make myself available to help in their class work.
Bro. Bob Drisko JW
