Master’s Message – January 2013

Greetings Brethren:

Our January meeting will be a Festive Board hosted by R.W Andy Gregoire and M.W. Steve Smith. It will be held in a Lodge of EA so that our seven new Entered Apprentices may attend this Lodge of instruction. We will be serving a fillet of beef dinner so it is imperative that you contact me for dinner reservations ASAP as to get an accurate count. All attendees including EA’s will be charged $10.00 to offset the cost of dinner.

I am happy to report that three new fund raising events for our Temple Association have been added to our Spring/Summer calendar. On continuous Saturdays, April 20 and 27, we will be hosting, in conjunction with our own Thespian Brother Ross Gavlin and his local college theatre group, a dinner theatre beginning at 6:30 pm. Brother Senior Deacon Ted Hague will be chairing this event. Tickets and more information will be forthcoming. On Saturday August 3 at 5:30 pm, we will be hosting a Cigar Smoker and BBQ. Brother Sentinel Dave Becker will be chairing this outdoor event with more details to follow. Tickets to all of these events will be going on sale soon.

On Thursday, January17th at 7:00 pm, the Temple Association and new President Brother Steve Acello will be holding his first meeting. I encourage every member of Lafayette Lodge to support Steve by attending this important and informative meeting He has many new ideas he would like to share.

On Monday January 21, 7:00 pm, we will be attending the GM visitation to Jenks Lodge in Pawtucket. Remember all Lafayette Lodge members are welcome not just the officers. It would be great to see you on the sidelines supporting our officers and the Lodge.

We gather every Monday (except the second Monday of the month) at 7:00 pm for rehearsal, and everyone is welcome, whether it’s to help or just for the fellowship. Hope to see you there soon.
