Lafayette Lodge No.47

“Making good men better.”

Master’s Message – January 2010

Posted by Brian Cayer on December 28, 2009

Greetings Brethren,

We have been pushing the flywheel very hard at Lafay-ette and its moving with a lot of ease and great speed. I hope we can keep this momentum up. The December meeting was a great one. The fire was bustling, the carolers were singing and we were feasting with a large crowd. Welcome aboard our two newest members Steve Achello and Celso Simoes. Big congratulations to Doug Connell who will be the RW Senior Grand War-den for the State of Rhode Island. I am extremely im-pressed with the number of people that are coming to St John’s night on Dec 19th. I guess it says that masons just want to have a good time together. Roger Wil-liams will be holding a scotch tasting on Jan 9th and an Irish themed table lodge in March that will be served by Lafayette. Tickets are available for both events. La-fayette will also be purchasing, cooking and serving Roger Williams on their regular meeting night Feb 13th with all the proceeds going to the Northern Dis-trict charity fund.

This month we will open lodge at 7:30pm. The pro-gram will include an interesting story about Robin Hood and his Masonic ties. We will have a beef dinner with baked potato, vegetables salad and rolls for $10.

Fraternally,
Bill Bundeff, Master
